News I am pleased to share:

RED GIRL JUMPING, my experimental memoir about traumatic amnesia written from the point of view of memory itself, won the 2024 Kenneth Patchen Award for the Innovative Novel. It is now available for pre-order from JEF Press.

About me:

Having grown up in different places all over the USA, I am happy to live in New York City, a place I love. After years of writing for theatre  -- and sometimes acting in plays -- I now focus on fiction.

HILDA'S HOUSE, a novel-in-progress set in rural Maine, recently won the 2026 Tucson Festival of Books Literary Award in the fiction category for a 5000-word excerpt.

MOOSE XING, an as-yet unpublished novel set in the same location as HILDA'S HOUSE, was shortlisted in 2024 for the Regal House Publishing Petrichor Prize.

RED GIRL JUMPING had an excerpt published in 2020 Counterclock Journal Issue 8

My prose writing has received fellowships from The MacDowell Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and The Helene Wurlitzer foundation. Plays have received some awards and been produced regionally/off-off-bway.
